1. Signal Reception Failure

Q: No signal/weak signal?
Causes: Incorrect pipe parameters, insufficient couplant, misaligned probes, or non-full pipe.
Solutions:
Verify pipe OD/wall thickness (input measured values)
Reapply couplant generously, eliminate air bubbles before securing probes
Ensure fluid fills the pipe; install probes at screen-indicated distances (Red upstream, Blue downstream)

Q: Weak signal in aged pipes?
Causes: Scaling or internal deformations blocking ultrasound.
Solutions:
Use Z-mount method (angle probes to avoid scaled areas)
Relocate probes to find optimal signal points or lightly tap pipe (use cautiously)

2. Display Abnormalities
Q: Blank screen/no backlight?
Causes: Power disconnection or protective shutdown.
Solutions: Check 220V supply, restart device.

Q: Zero flow reading (actual flow present)?
Causes: Accidental activation of static zero function (M43 menu).
Solutions: Enter menu > clear static zero point > select "YES" to reset.

Q: Significant flow value deviation?
Causes: Insufficient straight pipe (near valves/pumps), sensor misalignment, or parameter errors.
Solutions:
Relocate to >10 pipe diameters upstream of disturbances
Recalibrate sensor spacing; confirm pipe material sound speed settings

3. Output & System Errors
Q: No current loop output?

Causes: Incorrect hardware jumper setting (near terminal 22).
Solutions: Set jumper to 1-2 position (direct output mode).

Q: Data storage/time errors?
Causes: RAM or RTC module malfunction.
Solutions: Restart device; contact manufacturer if persistent.

4. Environmental Limitations
Q: Failure in high-purity/hot fluids?
Causes: Decoupling >160°C (probes) or lack of reflectors in pure liquids (Doppler mode).
Solutions:
Use high-temp probes with thermal insulation
Switch to transit-time method or inject particles for Doppler

Q: Erratic readings?
Causes: Pipe vibration or fluid bubbles/impurities.
Solutions:
Reinforce pipe supports; avoid vibration sources
Install vent valves at high points; mount vertically (bottom-up flow)

5. Maintenance Issues
Q: Rapid battery drain?
Causes: Battery aging, interrupted charging, or firmware incompatibility.
Solutions: Replace OEM battery; perform full discharge/charge cycle; update firmware.
Critical Operation Notes

Probe Installation:
Polish pipe to bare metal before mounting - rust/paint attenuates signals.
Periodically calibrate current loop (M49 verification) and sensor spacing.
